LOL
It also logs RPM. They'll know the gear you were in, throttle voltage, RPM, knock, etc., etc. I've seen warranties voided for going above speed limit or abusing the car. This will defiantly qualify as both.

Slowswap is right all of the details of your little 120+ cruise will be stored in freeze frame data, but it will only show where all the readings were at the time a code was set. The main reason a tech looks at this is to help duplicate or recreate the condition that caused this to happen so they can determine the cause of the code. If they see you were doing 120 when the code set, you may have a problem on your hands.

If the problem is obvious then you will probly be ok. Sounds to me like your electronic throttle control is messed up, one of the sensors on the TB probly took a crap. You might have popped a vacuum line off too...

Nothing you described sounds like transmission as a lot of people have stated.

No, i think this has to do with your throttle control, did it feel like it was slowing down when you were still giving it gas or what? Also what makes you think it may be a trans issue? Any weird noises?

HHHmmm sounds like you may have burnt out spark plugs, or worse case senario fucked up the cams or even the trans/ but if you can run the car in all gears i doubt it is the trans

answer me this:
-does it clunk?
-is there smoking coming out?
-when it runs does the exhaust sputter?

if your saying it bogs out, you could have killed the spark plugs...its happened to me before doing crazy speeds.

Im in Hesperia, PM me and I can come help you

yea...and the CEL went on..and..the fuel gauge went on empty right away..even though i had just filled up like..20 miles before all this happened...

This exact same thing happened to me. What I did was look at where the PCM is right under the fuse box. One of the clamp thingies that holds some of the wires was loose. Put it back no more CEL or funky RPM's.

Full throttle 5th gear is all fail to start with. The car went into limp mode, which is why it dragged the RPM's back to prevent you from damaging it. Motor mounts have nothing to do with speed or limp mode?????

Stop listening to your friends!!! Pop the hood and look around, look for anything that looks loose or out of place. Does the engine sound normal when it's idleing? i mean no pecking or knocking sounds? Will the car go into gear and move if you let out on the clutch?

The reduced engine power mode will stop you from accelerating...

when i try to gas it to go..it will just turn off...
..i have to turn it on..and if i try to give it some gas, it doesnt really take it..
the car is on its way to my house right now.
then i'll poke around see if i can find the problem..

it sounds nasty though...

id say to take it home. check the PCM Connections i guess. dissconnet the battery for 10 mins or more. then maybe pull the plugs and check them. kind of hard to call what the problem might be cant really get a solid description. it starts and idles rought, RPM's all over, now can you tach the motor up and raise the R's or will it not do that at all?

it wont in gear? its a stick right?

and if it is a stick( i thought it was cause i thought it was an SS) and you bring the r's up what happens when you let the clutch out will the car move or does it just lose all its oomph? in that case i may lean towards a clogged cat.

ChargedUp It looks like this. Check the connections to the blue, black, and grey. Make sure the clamps are not loose they have to clip or lock in place. It fixed my problem.

with your ignition on reach under the hood and yank the fuel line loose then toss a lit cigarette in the engine bay. that will reset your computer and you won't have to worry about anymore error codes
