and if it is a stick( i thought it was cause i thought it was an SS) and you bring the r's up what happens when you let the clutch out will the car move or does it just lose all its oomph? in that case i may lean towards a clogged cat.

lol come on guys, how can you take a thread like this serious? OP ditched his car somewhere and it will not run, and is worried about his dad coming back and finding out. this means that it's probably his dad's car and he's about to get his ass busted up by daddy a little bit and trying not to get in trouble... secondly, he wants to fix this himself and people are trying, but he doesn't even know wat the pcm looks like or how to find it.

with that said, do you think we should make a 10 page long thread on teaching how to check for a loose connection, or resetting the computer OR would you rather just watch him set his car on fire via youtube and have a good laugh?

Why is it that the "help me" threads always end up going nowhere? I'm tryin to help but i don't have alot to go on here. We have all made pretty reasonable suggestions. You should have had this car towed to a shop.
Unless it just went into limp mode for no reason and unhooking the battery doesnt fix it. You probly just wasted your money on that tow.

OP LISTEN.

The car is in what's called "Limp Mode". It's what happens when the car screams "Engine Power Reduced." The car is running on half motor, so it's not going to drive.

You need to unhook the batter for 15 min, hook it back up and have someone with HPTuners take a look at it, and they can tell you what's up. I don't know who tunes out in SOCAL, but someone help the guy out.

What I was going to post.

You need to clear the code and if it throws it again then you know you have a problem.

And stop doing a buck 40 on the street

Yes the car is in limp mode! Just disconnect the battery like previous people have stated. If it goes back into limp mode after you get it out then you have a problem.

It went into limp mode cause you were driving like a douche and the car was saving itself from blowing up.

Not necessarily good sir. My car went into limp mode because the MAF and BARO sensors were just wacko. Car did it on it's own, so there could be just a simple computer self protect mode going on, hence why he needs to find someone good with HPT to help him out.

My car would not idle recently because the SCIP sensor was wacko, and the BARO was reading low voltage. Disabled the SCIP sensor, and the car ran fine.
