spark plug questions

I have a 2006 cobalt ss/sc stage 2 with intake, I am going to be installing a 2.8 pulley soon. Will the stock spark plugs be good enough or is it worth upgrading? zzp recommends to go with 2step colder plugs but that seems like it might be excessive for my application?

Would I see any benifit out of getting ngk plugs that are 1step colder or should I just stick with the stock plugs?

I tried searching this so I wouldnt have to make a thread and was unable to find answers based on my application. If I posted this in the wrong section I appologize in advance, thanks.

You aren't really "upgrading" your plugs with an aftermarket set. The stock plugs are very good plugs.

For a 2.8 setup 1-step colder will be your best bet. Do not purchase 2-step colder.
