That makes me worry A LOT since i've had a spec stage 2 sitting, collecting dust, waiting to be put in (which is real soon)......I don't have any money for another clutch

We sell almost every brand of clutch for your car. Spec Clutches are impeccable and we sell more Spec than any other brand for GM Ecotecs. For the 2.0SC, the new SAC-less kits are incredible.

The only warranty issues I can recall were for one other brand, which we dropped.

Over the years, I have found most clutch problems to be user error, whether miscalculating torque or simply not performing proper break-in. I have been guilty of it myself a few times.

proper break in is key... if you blew your clutch in a week... than you most definatly did not complete the mimimum 500 mile break in.. with any performance clutch I usually give it at least 1000 miles before Id run it at the track or go WOT.

me... I"m still on the stocker ... she's still holding strong, but I don't think it will last much with my slicks... still haven't decided on a clutch yet.. might get the Bully stage IV since i"ll be putting down @350-400 TQ and 400-450 whp once the car is done

Trust me i did the proper break-in, i waited about 700miles, and did exactly what they told me to do to break it in, the clutch was junk.

If your gonna go with Spec, spend the little extra to get the + series. I've heard nothing but good things about the spec 2+ and 3+. The 3+ is what I've got waiting to go on. Just need for my axles to get here (tomorrow!)

Good point. Also, make sure you follow the OE instructions about changing the master when changing the bearing to avoid blowing it up.
