Spec clutch question
I read on cobalt-addiction the differances between all the stages of the spec clutches. I am interested in either the stage 3 or the stage 3 plus. The stage three plus says for heavily modified street and race engines making more torque then the stage three can support. My question is....my engine is basically stock with a CAI and cold air intake, this clutch wouldn;t be too much for it would it?

the stock clutch on the supercharged models is capable of handling up to 320hp/320lbs-ft. so unless you plan on pushing past that i would see no need to upgrade except to waste money honestly.

the spec +3 has a rating of 350+hp and 350+tqr the stage 3 is only around 300-320, but the stage +3 is a little harder to push in that the stock clutch, but after driving it for about a few weeks you cant notice the differance, the stage 3 kit would be very touch, the differance with the +kits is there more street friendly but also have a high rating of hp and tqr, but everyone has there own opinion, i have the +3spec and i love it, and it was right for me im in the 350+-400 range...

Honestly you cannot go "to big" on the clutch kits. Between the spec stage 2 thru 3+ the clutch petal is the same.
Daily driving IMO is EASIER with the "+" series. "+" series have a full faced disc, where as the normal series have a "PUC" design, and ingage harder, however the full faced ("+") series hold more...
Which ever one you do decide to get, PM us we will price match and get you the best price. Just let us know the companys link to the product...

i have the spec stg 3. ive had it for only 30 thousand miles and its pretty much gone. i do mostly street driving. so my question is which clutch would last the longest stg1-stg5 and i dont plan on going past 300-350 whp
