sorry if this is a noob question, but can you put a boost controller on a stock supercharger.

 

Superchargers make boost depending on their pulley size. You can't increase or decrease on demand like a turbo.

ZZP sells one for Eaton superchargers.

It opens the BPV so you can lower the boost down to 2psi and anywhere in between full boost, obviously for the reasons you stated you can only get as much out of it as the pulley allows though.
