SS/SC vs 99 corvette conv. auto

Yeah theres a guy in my town talking **** after 4cyl. cars. I was wondering if my SS/SC with a GMPP S2, CAI, 2.9, catback and highflow manifold would be able to take him from a roll. Lets say 40mph-110. He has an auto vette conv 1999 (C5 anyways)

well i was looking on the web, and they only do the quarter in 13.5+. I mean I am at the very least 14 flat. From a roll, there is no need to launch and having those problems. So I thought it would be an intesting

completely stock. AND is auto... I mean stick only does the quarter in 13.3, so the auto has to be over 13.5 easily

I believe thats the LS1 motor. I've ran a LS1 Camaro SS from rolls and kept my bumper at his door all day long. Only have Stage 2 and Intake.

It will be a close race i think

When you are talking about roll racing, look at trap speeds, 1/4 mile times don't matter that much. But to answer your question, he will pull away from you but race him anyway just for sh*tz and gigglez but don't be like yo, i'm going to beat you, just tell him you want to go for fun

Don't forget, the corvette is a lot lighter, and MORE aerodynamic, which will make it pull even harder at higher speeds

and their car weigh 300 pounds more and he weighs 150 more than me, so thats a total or 450 pounds more!! but they are more aerodynamic for sure!! But from a 40, i think it should be close!! NOt going to win, but closer than most would assume from a cobalt

Oh, i'm more than positive that he will gain respect for 4 bangers, because I as well think it will be a good race, but he's going to pull up top. Get it on video though if it goes down

I would if it wouldnt void warranty, If the warranty can end, then i might go with that setup or a GMPP S3 and actually put the wet/NOS in the car

yeah i could get a third car, he would be in the way, we only have like 4 lane highways here, two lane each side. Or get my dad and his car to fallow us, that would work to, but he prob wouldnt be down for this kind of stuff!

Race him... AND GET IT ON VIDEO!!! I think you might pull a win... Hopefully. I've beat many low 13 second cars from a roll. And the mods you are talking about are pretty similar to mine.

And Duct Tape the Camera to the Dash... that way there is no problems... No extra weight... and no shitty third car that can't keep up... like that Honda in the SS/SC - Cobra video.
