Off topic but here's hoping a similar S/C is released for the 2.2L Cobalts and not just for the Cavy and Sunfire (description on bottom left of first pic ). Looks like we could have been slightly off since it's advertising a peak HP rating of 200hp...I can't imagine the one for the Cobalt if/when it's released would be anything less.

Holy cow, half a second faster in the 0-60mph which would put us at low to mid 5 second 0-60 and for those who are running 14.4 in stock form almost a whole second faster in the 1/4 mile. That would put the car in mid 13's. Stock 05 GT kill. I smell low 13's with added performance parts & maybe 12's with drags and a really good driver.

this might be a stupid question but...... do we have to get stage 1 in order for stage 2 to work properly or can we just go for stage 2 right away and see the same results?

Doesn't the Poster say that 2.0L LSJ has a forged crank and forged rods? Thats how I am reading it, but I might be reading it wrong.

The piston are not forged, I already knew that.

The rods and crank are forged only.

omgoodness finally I've bought a car w/ forged connecting rods...excuse me while I cry w/ joy. (went through three sets of connecting rods on my old mustang)

On a side note, anyone like the part that says "just the beginning of the performance upgrade kits that will be available from GM for Ecotec engines"?

I've wondered this myself, and everybody seems to ignore, and or not read my post when I ask this same question. Anyone?

No one knows as of now, but I would think that you can buy stage 1 then upgrade to stage 2, or just buy a kit which includes both at once.

I think stage1 and 2 use different injectors.

Stage 2 is only a pulley and belt. It uses the same injectors from stage 1.
