Stage 1 kit

How many of you have ever run just the gm stage 1 kit? any actual power numbers gained? Car is running 84,000miles so im kinda worried about putting a smaller pulley and stuff on it haha. But umm i have a cat back exhaust and injen CAI. Figured maybe get some 42lbs injectors and get a tune? any idea power numbers i could expect? or is it even worth the money? just wondering thanks all!

well now that you are out of warranty...depends on what you want, the gm stage 1 will add a tiny bit but if you want to stick to gm stage, get the 2 or 3 kit. Otherwise if you want more power get ottp's stage kits. Some people want the safer gm kits and some people want custom..all up to the owner.

yea but when did you pulley it? yea im not worried about other stage kits as long as problems dont start after haha. I mean a stage 2 gm is still around 240's hp? OTTP makes a good kit it sounds? you guys prefer that to the zzp kit? mid 200's would be good this year then turbo next.

Yea, there are tons of options, I would personally go with either the ZZP, or OTTP. Because it is a little better/safer in my opinion. Good luck!

Today's engines are much more reliable than those of the past, I had a 93 firebird formula and installed a wet nitrous kit at 130,000 miles. Sprayed it all the way until I locked up the motor by driving into a lake...long story haha. Granted an LT1 is a totally different engine, it just to show that high mileage engines can still make great power reliably.
