stage 1 question

Hey guys i recently bought a 06 ss, they told me at the dealer that everything was stock but im not sure couse it feels a bit more powerfull than other ones i have test driven, so my question is, is there anyway to find out if this car has a stage 1 kit? Thanks. and im loving the car by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!

best way is to check the color of your injectors. if they are gray, its stage 1.

to check for stage 2... see if there are bolts on your pulley. if there is, its atleast a stage 2

look at the injectors...how many pounds of boost are u pushing??? does the pulley have blue bolts??

ok if its a little excessive to pull the injectors just look at the pulley if it has bolts on it...or go to the dealership and ask them to look up ur vin...or ask one of the guys that work at gm that is on here to look it up.

get in and rev the **** out of it. if it stops at 6500RPM, its stock. if it keeps going to 7000RPM, its not. Then look at the snout of the S/C for bolts. Stock pulley is pressed on. /thread.

Well... if it has been newly flashed with GM stage kit, it still has the 6500 rev limit..

u dont have 2 pull the injector 2 see what color it is...lol..

newly flashed stage 1 and 2 kits from GM have been coming with the 6500rpm limit..

yep they are cuz of warranty issues I beleive said my friend. he is a gm tech so yeah
