A 2.8 will net a 16-17 psi range... depending on mods and how much restriction you have in the exhaust side of things.

Some will see 15-15.5 will free flowing intake and exhaust, others will see 17-18 with a stock exhaust system!

yeah, exhaust has a big affect on how much you're boosting.

i get 18.5 mostly. if u free up ur exhaust the boost will probably drop doto lack of back pressure which is good cuz boost doesnt create power its just a measurement of pressure inside the manifold.

The engine is a giant pump..

the faster the air gets out, the faster new air can get in, and make power.

and absolutly correct, psi is just a measurement...

the amount of boost is almost irelevant. you can take 2 cars, 1 with 14 psi, and it can be faster than the same car with 18 psi. psi is not an indicator of power, just of restriction. that being said, just because you have a certain psi doesn't mean you're necesarily going to be faster than another car with higher or lower psi. and you especially can't compare boost #'s on different cars.
