Put 2.9 on stage 2 and swap the pulley if you have a problem

Not that I advocate dealer fraud, but can they detect if the PCM has been removed or swapped with another? I see buying an aftermarket PCM and doing a little swappage getting around this reflash limitation pretty quick. I hope for their sake GM thought of that.
Aint sure but i am sure they can proove that an engine running stage 2 has less engine wear then an engine with 60s and 2.8. But i could be worng but i am sure that you can look inside of an engine and see if its been ran harder with bigger injectors and smaller pully. But this is my opinion maybe not. But i am with you hope gm thougth of that if not we could buy a cpu out of a totaled car program it and run it when the engine blows you could swap the cpu back. But i am with most people on this site. If your gunna do something to void your warrenty be a man/women and take the resposibility for it.

Stg 2 is well worth the money plus you keep your warranty... Even go stage 3 some dealerships warranty it if you can find the right one...

i had stage 2 n then sold it and went with 60#'s, 2,8, and a heat exchanger. pretty big difference. stage 2 was fun but not very fast. i wouldnt waste my money on 42#'s just get 60's so u can always upgrade

all true, i spent about 400 total for my original piece together stage kit which was 60lbers and a 2.8, i soldered my own harness too, a pulley puller/and cam installer can be bought from harbor frieght for about $20. now all you would need is the tune. in cali that is somewhat limited, i'd make friends with shaunmcdee, if he is still tuning cobalts. or check with some of the redline guys. i don't know if raven ss is still willing to tune anymore and he doesn't have hpt so he would have to borrow it. as far as warranty is concerned, mine got voided because i had a cai, poly mounts and coilovers on my car...........................yeah and none of those items even remotely related to the part that failed..................so they can take there warranty and shove it straight up there ass. i've seen way to many peoples warranties voided for bullshit excuses. basically anything they can think of to keep from having to do warranty work on your car.

you should check to make sure your aftercooler pump is working, i had one fail the car felt sluggish and my iat2's went through the roof like that, it melted my cat and a piston.
