unless....you buy new injectors and a pulley and have someone tune it for you with HPTuners... then you possibly void the warranty but will get a better tune for the mods...

ok I'll add to the faq:

Q:Is the reflash available without getting the stage kits?
A: NO, an authorization number is on the instruction manual that is needed by the GM tech doing the reflash to allow him to get the proper reflash part number loaded into the tech 2.
Available flash part numbers are:
12607644 05 Cobalt SS
12607645 06 Cobalt SS
12607646 04 Ion RL
12607647 05 Ion RL
12607648 06 Ion RL

is that just bull or are those for real

hmmm....i dont think you can get just the reflash. when you get the stage 2 kit, there is a paper inside with an authorization code on it. The dealership has to get authorization from GM with the VIN from your car, and then reflash the cars PCM. I dont think you can get it seperately...

I wish one of the GM tech guys would get in here and help out with this...

Why would you buy a stage 2 kit if you are not going to use the hub and pulley? If you absolutely have to use the shiny billet pulley then you may have to end up getting your own injectors, shortened belt and tune. Plus once the dealer sees that aftermarket pulley they wont do any warranty work anyway. I suggest you return the shiny pulley and just get a stage 2.

i think the part numbers r for if your piecing the kit together not for anything to do with the reflash. but i could be wrong.

And also the reflash will only work if that billet pulley is the same size as the stage 2 pulley.

custom tune or stage 2. You can't get the reflash without the kit. And once the the kit number is used, it becomes dead (meaning can't be used on another car). GM is in this for the money, they are not stupid.

Yeah thats fine but when you do that you will already have the shortened belt and the injectors.

I'm leaning more and more towards buying my own kit and having it HPto0ned by someone nearby. Seems like it'd be cheaper and better all around.
