Stage 2 help
Hey everyone, i just got a 2005 cobal ss/sc about 2 months ago, i freakin love this car... and now im wondering about a stage 2 kit, where to buy them? and how much do they usually cost? i have been reading alot of things on this website and im really impressed with what everyone has to say about these cars and the help everyone recieves...thanks!
i have seen it at www.gmpartsdirect.com for $562.02 part #17803229 well worth the money i love mine!!
im planning on getting a stage 2 also, but im woundering if i can handle putting it on my self or just bring it to the dealer and have them do it since i guess you have to have the dealer tune it since i dont have a computer. How hard on a scale of 1-10 is it to install, i mean i can change my brakes and oil and things like that what do you suggest?

Buy that. Best for your money, hands down. Cheaper than most other stage kits, and cost less. And by no means is reliability a issue.

Torque management will reduce the power if the engine notices (abuse).. for higher speeds, remove this.
7000 is GM's stage 2 rev limit. You can go up to 7250 and be fine. Ive heard of people going to 7400 on stock. I dont see the problem if you dont do it all the time, you know what i mean? You will need ALOT of cooling mods to achieve that and be safe. Actually its a good idea to get the cooling mods before the stage kit. Like a heat exchanger, and a dual pass + option B. If you dont know what that is i will explain...
