Stage 2 install

With the stage 2 install is it a must for the supercharger to come off the motor?

I read in the instructions that GM does say yes, I just hope the dealership is somewhat smart about it and dosn't drop anything into the intake manifold, this is all i'm worried about.

It looks to be simple. I'm just saying the chances of something being dropped into the engine is possible.

I found this article a few weeks ago showing the GM Stage 2 install with pics. I had the dealership do mine so I can't speak to accuracy, but it looks legit.

SC has got to come off. There is no room to get the pulley removal and installation tool in without pulling the SC. Don't sweat the dropping into the intake thing. They will throw a rag over it to keep it from getting contaminated. Should take them about 1.4 hours
