stage 2 install price quote
alright so i called my local dealership who i bought my balt from a year ago and they qouted me $525 for just labor and install! with a $140 labor rate? wtf thats some insane **** i live in the west burbs of chicago so any one around here got the stage 2 how much u pay for for the install?

You shouldn't pay anymore than $300. But, I guess different dealers have different prices especially if they feel they are the only ones people are going to come to.

yeah i know i did a search and figured more than 300 was sick, but i wanted to see what the chicago area people payed for and maybe go to a differant and more reasonable dealer, lol.

Try going to the chevy dealer in orland park on LeGrange road. The name of the dealership is phillips. I didnt get anything installed there, but they advertise stage kits and the dealership is pretty damn big, I am sure they have done quite a few cobalts and can get you done for cheeper than most others!

some dealers charge more then there normal hourly rate for GMPP intstallations. So $140 may be there rate for that. Here in FL it was $100per hour, however it really shouldn't take someone that knows what there doing more than 2.5-3hrs to complete it. They will most likely have to remove the S/C to change the pulley. Sometimes though, dealers qoute you a high price because they haven't had any experence installing the kit, and have no idea how long it will take. get a qoute somewhere else. I think you can check a saturn dealership as well seeing that the ION REDLINE and The SS are brothers from another Mother.
