Stage 2 installed, rpms "hanging"

Just got the Stage 2 kit installed on my 06 ss/sc and I noticed now when I shift as soon as I push the clutch in with my foot completely off the gas the tach shows a small increase in rpms (about 100) where it stays for a split second and then drops. Anyone else experiencing this? Just wanted to know if its normal or not.

I'm pretty sure the gauge isn't faulty, before Stage 2 the rpms used drop right away when pushing in the clutch. It doesn't go up that much and it doesn't take that long before it drops again (maybe half a second) its just something I have to get used to because it has thrown my timing off a little bit. My brother's 05 ss/sc does the same thing but he's on the stock tune.

Sounds flywheel/clutch related but there's nothing in the stage 2 tune that would do it...maybe you're just noticing it now.

There is a known issue with some tachs being slow/lagging in 1st and 2nd gear after stage 2 is installed.

so it just be that... try it out in 3rd gear and if it still does it then you have a different problem

The tachs lag on custom tunes too. My limiter is 7300 but the one time I hit it, HPT scanner showed 7496 rpm

Idle is fine, 875 rpm, no blips or shakes.

Yeah the engine sounds like I'm still giving it gas but my foot is off the pedal.

I might need some time to relearn certain parameters on the car after the stage tune
