Doesn't the reflash raise the rev limiter too??? It's what i heard. Raises it to 6700 rpm but I'm probably wrong.

My parts people here have talked to their gm rep. He told them " We are waiting on the kits from our manufacturer. I am told we will have them in feb. They are already a month behind"

I hope I'm not the only one tired of all the speculation with the stage kits...raised rev limiters, warranty coverage, power gains...we won't know anything for sure until they actually come out. Until then, I'll enjoy what I have sitting my garage.

I am supposed to get my car in the next couple of weeks. I have my lowering kit here, intake, exhaust, header and now I am pissed cause I wanted my stage kits in when I first drove it. I'm getting sick of this waiting game!!!

Rays kit is simple, safe and powerful. I'm pushin 15 sometimes 16 1/2 psi of boost. He is reprograming my power pack cel free. I originaly had psi-fi power pack. If you drive like me your clutch will get burned up from that extra boost off the jump. But I am also getting the stage 1 from gm and taking my powerpack off

I am counting on a better PCM tune with the stage 1 upgrade.

because im sure stage 2 will have more computer upgrades and so that if something goes wrong. they will know i was running a smaller pulley and if the computer isnt programmed the way they did it. i can say well then what did ya'll do. my dealership is an ass. but heck id rather buy the stage 2 and be under warranty than buy just a 2.8 and totally not be covered. because i dont know what there goign to program in there

i would rather go to straight stage 2, instead of dickin around with getting 1 then 2. the dealership is gonna install everything for me, cause if something goes wrong its their fault.

I can't wait any longer! Guess I'll have too. You know what they say, good things come to those who wait!

i brought this up in another thread and didn't get a answer, do we still get a warranty if we put it on our self, because installation is probably another 200-300 bucks.

I called the main parts guy at the dealership were I bought my SS and asked him talk to GM and find out how to get\do everything in the 300+hp build articles. The article talks about 7850 as the redline and I told the guy that all he has to do is tell me what to do\buy and I will do so. I am hoping this gets a response in a reasonably short manner.

I would beleive so. my friend bought the GM SC for his Cavalier, and we installed it and it was under warranty from GM even though we installed it. he still had go to a dealer and get the cpu reflashed.

The warrenty issue is still up for debate and is a much anticipated decsion. The way I see it is if you get it installed by the dealer everythings warrentied. This is what my dealer has told me.
