Exclamation Stage 2 opinions-please post!!

Hey guys, I'm looking to go Stage 2 and need some input on the various companies who are doing them. Right now I am looking at both ZZP and OTTP. I would really like to hear what everyone has to say about the products and what is the better buy. Thanks!!

Go OTTP stage 2 or ZZP stage 3. I have an OTTP stage 2. Great product. But dealing with both i find ZZP to have much better customer service.

Blue lightning, are you happy with ur ottp stage 2 kit? or would you go with the stage 3 kit from zzp if you could go back? also which gives you more hp? im assuming zzp stage 3?

I think I am going to go with the zzp stage 2 for now. I looked into it and by going stage 3 you only gain an additional 9 hp. I plan on getting a new ss in a year or so, I just want something to make the car a little more fun to drive for now.

Both are equivilant. Neither kit is bars above the other. I'm very happy with my OTTP kit. Just after dealing with both companies ZZP has better customer service

What size of pulley do you plan on running?

I dunno, 3" pulley w/ 42lb injectors seems to be the norm for a safe run. Can I go 2.9 or 2.8 without running any cooling mods or having to beef up the driveline?

you can run 2.9 or 2.8 with 60's Without cooling mods as long as you don't mean on it too much, And avoid back to back WOT pulls.
But for the price of the ZZP S3 heat exchanger it's definatly worth it.

I ran my OTTP stage 2 for over half the summer with no cooling mods and ran it hard lots. It's not going to do any damage, you just are going to have a heatsoaked motor and not have the power you should

If you know someone with HP tuners you can get them to email you the tune. Makes it much easier. Regardless though i would get a custome tune OTTP's canned tune is crazy rich

Is there any setup ottp or zzp where you can run the ecm flash they send without having any problems or more often then not will you have to get a custom tune from someone?

canned tunes get you up and running well. their just pig rich. so you wont blow your ish up. a custom tune will let you pull more out of the setup.

I said that because the fact I went to get a custom tune on my OTTP stage 2 and the tuner couldn't get into the PCM to tune it. Invalid Vin or whatever.

So what is the safest route to go , stage 2...(injectors,pulley, and flash) Without touching driveline or motor mounts and without getting a custom tune. What injector and pulley size too?
