Stage 2 Pricing & Where to Buy
Stage 2 Pricing & Where to Buy
So I'm looking at doing the Stage 2 upgrade on my new 07 SS/SC. I spent a little time doing some research and here are the options with prices + shipping to Massachusetts:
Crate Engine Depot: $550.00 + $10.95 S&H
Cobalt Addiction: $589.99 + $14.99 S&H
TNT Autosport: $600.00 + $20.00 S&H
Cobalt Performance Parts: $637.50 + $12.45 S&H
Summit Racing: $719.39 + 10.95 S&H ($654 through the Pro Shop)
Local Chevy Dealer: $750 (no shipping) ($637.50 reseller cost).
So it looks like Crate Engine Depot would be the best value and from what I've read on here they are very decent to deal with. Is there anyone else I'm missing?
BTW, I know I could do everything aftermarket for cheaper, but I would like to keep the warranty until it's at least paid for.
Thanks,
............... Mike

if you buy from some one else can you still have gm install it? or will they say know b/c my dealer said that its 750 for the parts and labor will cost around 400 but if i could by it for 550 i would save a lot of $$$$!!! just wondering
You can buy from another soruce and have your dealer install it. If they give u a problem say you bought it from a different dealership. If they still give you a problem, then go to a different dealership !

I bought mine from CED as well, and I'm getting it installed in 7 hours...I'll post after it's done (they said about 2 hours). I live right near CED, so I'm having it installed there and their price on install is $260, so it's not bad at all...I'll post as soon as it's done.

Is CED a GM dealer? Will you still have your full warrenty after having it installed at CED? I only ask because you live in chicago and say they are close, so they must be close to me too!
Thanks! Mike

I got my stage 2 yesterday, it redlines at about 7200rpm, the pullys are nice, boost picks up real fast at about 30-35mph, got it to about 15lbs of boost at 95mph...Getting my exhaust tomorrow, and my headers and cai are still to come.
Should redline at 7,000, but might pop over when you shift. Does it actually go all the way to 7200 under power?
