stage 2 question
i think as long as you dont punch it every time you wont see that much of a difference... given you will see some ther eno stoping it because of the bigger fuel injectors but it wont be that much of a difference if you dont punch it all the time...
I reset the mpg when I picked the car up, went out and abused it a little, and it hasn't dropped below 28 mpg yet. Close to 100 miles of much more "spirited" driving than normal, it's kinda wierd.
Of course, something's not right with mine anyways. I've got the 7k rpm limit but the car almost feels like it sputters below 3k rpms, now, like I need to run it that high for a smooth shift under relaxed driving conditions. No CEL's or anything, just feels like it noticeably lost power down low. I need to pick up a scanner so I can see what's going on. I have an idea, though. Anyone that remember's WopOnTour's post in another stage thread about the programming software being used, well the shop foreman left a copy of the "Service Programming System Summary" page in my car with the old parts I asked to keep. It says TIS2000 at the top and in the 8 calibration files it lists, the proper pcm calibration # for the stage kit is not listed. I have the higher rev limit, but it seems like they didnt' program everything in, if it makes sense to anyone, I'm not exactly sure what's going on. Taking a trip back to the dealer right now...
Edit/Update: Don't mean to keep taking this off-topic, but I went back to the dealer and showed them Wop's posts and how the correct calibration # doesn't even show up on the summary. The tech called the same phone # for the VCI again, and he said they weren't absolutely sure the calibration that was programmed in was the right one or not because this is all still new and they don't have solid confirmation. So they are calling GM Performance themselves and asking someone there then calling me back later to let me know. I'm hoping it wasn't programmed correctly, because below 3k rpm's is definately lacking now compared to before hurting driveability by alot.

I just got mine done on last thursday. I definately have the 7k rev limit too because i hit it last night. but it lacks a little bottom end but it takes off once i get past 2700rpms.. Wop also said that it won't show because it's new and it may not even show. Isn't the VCI number they give you like a confirmation number?
