stage 2 question

so i went to my buddys shop to get my stage 2 installed... they got the sc off and they put the pulley puller on... ended up snaping the bolts on the puller that was rated at 600lbs or something... so now they said they will have to send it out to a place to get it pulled off by a press... does this sound right? and how much force should be used to get the pulley off?

They must have been doing something wrong or had a defective puller. I pulled mine off with the supercharger sitting on the tailgate of my pickup with my father holding it down.

Just rent another puller from a company and use it. We put a lot of pressure on the one we pulled but nothing broke.

If you have the injectors it is ok.

To get my stock pulley off we had to put it into a 12 tonne press and it was maxxed out. Stubborn bitch for sure.

Good luck. Some guys on here have had no problems. My stock pulley was garbage afterwards cause it got bent in the removal process. Glad I will never need that big bastard again.

Why does GM do half the things they do?

Better it is on tight rather than falling off I guess.
