Stage 2 question

Ummmm...is it normal to pull 16 PSI with the standard GM stage 2 kit?

Yes.

I called the GM dealer yesterday about it and they said the car was WELL within parameters and was just fine.

I was just more or less curious if anyone else was pulling 16 psi with a stage 2

you may want to check you Cat isn't plugged up. mine cooked itself ad i was overboosting, and it smoked all the gasgets from there forward.

Good advice but do you think my cat would be plugged with only 500 miles on the car?

It was pulling 12 psi before I brought it in and it was pulling 16 psi from the moment I left the lot...do you think the cat instantly clogged?

The Mechanic took it for a ride with the computer hooked up to it and said all the numbers looked fine? Wouldn't the Rear O2 sensor be off if the cat was plugged?

Were you seeing a little bit over 12 lately before you got the S2 installed. Only reason I ask is because it's been so cold lately, some people have been saying that they're reading a little bit higher boost.

I'm not great with science and all, but depending on your location, certain factors might change your boost levels. ie: elevation, air temps...

EDIT: After my S2 was installed I kept getting pissed because I was having a hard time hitting 15.5psi. Since it's got colder, I've seen 16-16.5psi before and after installing my intake...
