stage 2 reflash affects other mods
quick question, i would appreciate if anyone knew for a fact and didnt just give me an "educated speculation" on this topic. I was curious about the stage 2 reflash, does it affect the other mods that you have on your car before hand? For example, if you have and intake and exhaust before the stage 2 and reflash, will the reflash put your ecu at only stock with a stage 2 or will it be aware of the intake and exhaust. This doesnt make sense to me becaue if your at 210-215whp stock and you get an intake and exhaust to put you up to 225whp and then you get stage 2, will your ecu be reset to 241whp (which is stock with stage 2) or will it be set up to 260whp (which is stage 2, intake, and exhaust). if anyone knows for sure, please let me know and dont just tell me, "oh i think its this because of whatever reason", thanks for ur help.

If at all, adding your CAI is going to make more power with the Staged Kits because of the fact you're adding more air... more air and more fuel equal more power.
He is right. The ECU doesn't know you have an intake, it only knows there is an increase in air volume past the Mass Air Flow sensor and it adjusts the fuel map accordingly. When you get the GM reflash it is inputting the base map for the larger injectors but there will always be some adjustments made after that are environmental. Your driving style, what climate you live at, and if htere is an intake or exhaust onthe car will all be adjusted for in the first few hundred miles you drive after the reflash.
They hit the bullseye on that one. Technically it knows you have one so you wont be running lean afterwards (No Codes) it works out pretty simple. I cant see any other mods being affected thought.
