Stage 2 with stage 3 pulley
I believe if you go down a 10th of an inch you get 2 psi. 2.8"=18-19lbs give or take. 2.9"=16-17lbs. Stage 2 pulley is like 14-15lbs. (3.0"). Is this right?
Maybe your boost gauge is jacked.

Ive seen about 1 psi to 1 1/2 psi from my stage3 2.99. I went this route over a true 2.9 due to my IDC's and lack of cooling mods. You will notice a difference in how the it will build boost quicker in the lower RPM ranges. It's not going to blow your skirt up , but it is a noticable.
My cars boost gauge goes to the 1st line right after 15psi which should be 16.25psi with the Stage 3 pulley. My dyno sheet shows 16.33psi. So with the Stage 3 pulley you get about a 1.25psi over the Stage 2, plus a little more down low.
First pray (to whoever you pray to) that they didn't locktite them on . If they didn't then use the bit that came with the kit and turn them off while the belt is still on the SC.
If they did use locktite , your going to have to use some heat.
from what I understand most after market 2.9 is normally 2.90 not 2.99 and stage 2 being 3.06 I would only imagine about a 1lb increase. A 2.9 is an nice upgrade considering it costs less that 100 bucks and doesn't take long to install. overall with cooling mods and a good tune you can't really argue that the 2.9 isn't worth the cost.
light'bolt, you ran a 14.06@107? damn dude, get the driver mod or some slicks, that's a 12 sec trap for sure.
All you cobalts trapping over like 105 should be in the 12's no problem.

HAHAHAHA.... nope that was just the fastest trap I've done. I was spinning first and second my first time out. Since then I've controlled my launches, only trapping about 102 now.....
well get rid of the 107 in your sig, that really throws people off, just post your best time. like 14.06@102. My best trap is 101 on street tires, but that was before I added meth, tuning, and slicks. I'd trap 103ish maybe a little higher now but I don't ever go without the slicks anymore, I gave up on street tires. I concentrate more on my shifts now.
Stage 2- 3.06, Stage 3- 2.99, thats a .070 thousand's of a difference. Now drop down to a 2.90 and your at a .160 thousand's drop in pulley size. I cant see the stage 3 pulley doing much more than the stage 2. If your not running WOT all the time Id say go 2.90, and as others have said continue with cooling mods from there. I dont run WOT but maybe once a day (getting on interstate) and my balt runs great on a 2.9. Just my .02
