it is in the 300's ... just gotta let the car drink some oj to get it done. there are plenty of other things you can do to increase the power of the car. why rely on a single mod. it is a cummulative effort of different parts to jump roughly 85 hp from stock on nearly any car.

Wait a minute, you mean the stage 3 pcm deletes th A/C all together, or just when the nitrous setting is activated? If the pcm kills the A/C, thats just retarded. Maybe they did it so people wouldnt use the stage 3 for street driving. GM wtf!

it just disables it from being used when the pcm is installed. want a/c so you can cruise while staying cool? before you leave unplug all 3 connections to the stage 3 pcm grab your old pcm then plug in the old one and asta la pasta a/c.

So basically, If I want the stage 3 pcm and A/C, I have to change pcm's all the time. Sounds like i would use stg 3 only on track days, or anytime thats not the middle of summer. Thanks for the input.

PsykoStevo, Blown 4-banger, Waylin22, and myself were talking about this the other day. We were wondering if it could be tuned with HP Tuners and if the Octane swaping was a physical change in the PCM or just a programing change. If it was just a programing change it could possibly be copied from a S3 PCM and added to a stock PCM. Then people like Blown 4-banger that doesn't have HP Tuners could have a high octane and a low octane map to go to the track without having to get reflashed each time.

Or HP Tuners could modify the S3 PCM to allow A/C funtion.

So if had a stg 3 pcm, it would be possible that HP tuners could change the A/C function?

Not sure. That is what we were wondering is if you could modify the PCM or copy some of the options from the S3 PCM to the stock PCM.
