Word. But That would only mean maybe another 20hp on top of stage 2. Not sure what they did here...

Not sure why Stage 3 doesn't take you to 300HP, but damn that shot of N20 gives it some nuts by another 100 hp almost.

Thats another 23hp on top of stage 2. The ss is gonna be like a bat out of hell with Stg3. Easily low 13s / high 12s w/ I/H/E

YES!!!!!! but I thought that was stage 2 when the article came out. Im still confused but as long as something is called stage 3 Im happy. Not to mention that if stage 2 takes 0.7 secs off quarter mile time with 36 hp upgrade to 240 than another 0.5-0.7 can be taking off with hp to 264. I know it problay doesnt work that way but just imagine. SO F*%&ing excited!!!

They said stage 2 was a 3.0" pulley, maybe a stage 3 is a 2.8" with supporting mods like an intake and ecu recal?

Just another thought, the hp #'s are low but if its good enough to wax a TT skyline I think it will be good enough for me.

Umm no, the only way you get 355HP with the Stage 3 SRT-4 is if you run racing fuel. Meaning 100+ octane. Most people can't even buy racing fuel where they live, not to mention it would be much too expensive to cruise around running on racing gas - thats insanity - especially considering current fuel prices.

The real numbers for the Mopar Stage 3 kit are 310HP and 325ft/lbs torque. Now considering the Cobalt SS S/C makes about 40 more Flywheels HP than its rated stock, add that to the GM stage 3 kit, and you're at 304HP. Very close to the SRT-4 numbers.

MOPAR asks that you use 100 octane but it will work fine with 94 octane from Sunoco or with water/alc injection u can run on HOM all day.

BTW the SRT is rated at 230 HP and 250 TQ at the fly wheel but it does that to the wheels stock so mopar is under rated to?

exciting news ... at what stage does the srt-4 change the turbo? see we are all talking about our numbers not being great for upgrades BUT the whole time no upgrade has been done to change the supecharger, all the hp is coming from small but effective upgrades ... to get lots o power from the srt-4 don't you have to remove the stock turbo and add a bigger one just to increase it by a noticable margine? I think some of us are being a bit too hard on the ss considering that we will still be dealing with a stock sc and engine after these upgrades are completed and installed (not sure if the sc on stage 3 is changed)

i was dead asleep when i got the text from my bro about stage 3... i might as well have just done coke cuz i was up and goin 100mph on this comp. Stage 3 sounds ok, but the SRT-4 is still more power, and i have to agree with the above post that they are under rated. so, we'll still not be as fast. (srt-4 is lighter also)

with stage 3 you have to put a bugger turbo unit on and it also comes wit a larger fuel pump and fuel rale.

stock turbo on the SRT is small the most you can get out of it is 300-310HP to the wheels if u want more u need a bigger turbo.
