Stage 3 Question
Stage 3 Question
I have an 06 ss/sc stage 2, i am curious, my clutch is perfectly fine, no slipping at all with stage 2, if i want to go to stage 3, will the stock clutch hold up with that? Any known issues? Anyone at stage 3 with the stock clutch?
your clutch does slip...they all slip..and when you go from stage 2 to 3 I realy dont think your even gona notice it
Let alone to have your clutch let loose from the extra 10hp. Not tryn to be rude just staten whats gonna happn.. look at it this way you'll have street cred now when your stg 3 sounds meaner

When I was straight GMS3 my clutch held fine. I still run the GMS3 PCM & pulley, but have a different blower & more bolt-ons/power. It still holds fine.
The stock clutch can take a beating. The people who claim it slips, and are at power levels well under 300whp, are the people who need to learn how to drive.
Same here.

It has also been shown the stock clutch will glaze if your always shifting at 2k.

A high mileage/abused clutch will start to cause problems no matter what power level you're at.
I should have clarified my statement, and explained that anyone running a stock clutch in good condition/lower mileage, and claiming it slips at power levels below 300whp needs to learn how to drive.
