Exclamation STAGE 3 WARRANTY read this!!

I just talked to my dealer and asked them about stage 2 and stage 3 they said stage 2 is definetely under warranty i asked about stage 3 and they said that they would warranty it because it is in the gm performance parts catalog i told them that it allows for nos and they said its fine if gm makes it and puts it in the catalog they will warranty it. I knew the dealership told me they were mod friendly I didnt think theyd allow nos so looks like ill be stage 2, stage 3 and a 50 shot coming up with catback exhaust and header to follow all under warranty. Im having them sign something when they install it so they dont try to **** me after. I know dealerships arent supposed to warranty it but i guess theres a good tihng to having only two ss/sc's including me in this area

to the mods im sorry if this is in the wrong section i wasnt really sure where to put it

They dont have to warrenty stage 3, it says the PCM is for off road use only because of the ability to run nitrous, I get just about everything covered under warrenty but I do work at a GM dealership

Lucky bastard 07 ss/sc i think the only reason they are saying theyll warranty it is because theyve never rreally seen the ss/sc its a small chevy dealership so when i pulled in i had a **** loada people from service and sales come out and then i started talking to them bout the turbo balt and they said they didnt even know there was an ss/sc around this area so its a nice thing i guess

Uh so if your balt is the first balt they seen you sure you want them to work on it. Because i had a friend who had the same problem his ion redline was the first one they ever saw/ever had to reflash and man did they mess that thing up, he had the tune from hell. He couldnt floor his car without going into limp mode and throwing codes he finally got the zzp computer and all is good now. Long story short dont be the first to there

have them put that if there is any faults to the engine (like blowing it up lol) due to the stg3 or nitrous that it will be covered.
they will prolly want to install the nitrous and all the parts for them to warranty it

ha I find this hard to believe but I myself have talked to a dealership in Wisconsin who installed the GM stage 3 and they said that they would warranty it.If the guy used nitrous and blew a piston or snapped an axle shaft then his warranty would be out the window and they would not cover it. But yea the same responce . It's in the GM Performance book so we have to warranty it.

What's funny about it was that he was like yae man when you arm it in thrid gear it would brake the tires loose when the nitrous kicked in.. Hahaha I can't wait till this summer when I get my dry kit

you blow the engine, and your dealer says YEP its covered!!!!

AWESOME!!!!!

yah, sorry. doesnt work like that.
Dealerships arent allowed to just roll in 5 grand worth of engine and just plop it in on their own say-so.

people higher up make those decisions. and they WONT warranty your Stage 3 sprayed engine.
