Stage 5 and exhaust

I currently have the Intense-Racing stage 5 upgrade with out the ported blower, and I have 2 question. Question 1 is what size exhaust would you guy recomend from collecter size back not just cat back the whole way motor to tip. My second question is that I had Intense remove my rear O2 so I could run cat less, but currently I have all stock exhaust, and my check engine light comes one every now and then saying bank 1 lean could the fact that I still have my rear O2 hooked up or being that I still have my stock cat on becausing this code to throw like it is? Help ease my mind please.

rear O2 sensor codes are, P0036, P0141, P0144, and i believe P0163 not sure on that one. I erase those 3 or 4 codes at least 20 times before disabling it through hp tuners.

And it's not on all the time it comes and goes as it pleases, like an exgirlfriend that you bang on the side.

seems like they may not have changed anything in the tune if your still running lean.

no a clogged cat would cause you to make more boost, but I guess it might run you lean.

that's the intake code.

Try getting the Maf Cleaner at autozone or pepboys made by CRC, and clean off the maf, then see what happens...

1st.....Yea......that's what was suppose to happen......you have a CAI ontop of a Stage 4....careful!!!

2nd.....a stage 5 minus the ported sc is a Stage 4 w/2.5 (pcm's are the same)

3rd......That is exactly how I popped my enging...going too lean then det. then boom

I went to a race shop and they tuned it for the CAI. I was lucky I didn't blow it before that. Definately get it retuned (atleast fix your AFR).

The motor was allready rebuilt once about a month before putting on the stage kit, due to a cracked piston, but a perfictaly fine head gasket. FYI I bought the car used with 18,xxx miles on it. And this first started the day that I put the stage kit on I never had it before and when I say started the as soon as I put the kit on I mean when I had the crank releared they also cleared the P0171 code for me.

I'll probably be giving Intense a call on monday to see what they have to say because I payed for the extra tune. Plus I've been driving on it for about a month or more now, and just the other day I started it up to let a friend listen to the blower whined up and it acted like it just wanted to die, so I shut it off and started it back up and it ran fine and no code was thrown. It seems like the only time the code throws is when I driving normal everyday driving conditions. Like it just came back on today on my way home from work in fiveth gear at 65 mph and thats the first time its went off in like 3 days.

i have the same problem with this code. it seems like when i drive up and down my street, its like 2 miles long 25 mph all the way, it turns on. i drive my friend home every day from school she lives on the other end of the street. on my way home it seems to come on if i just cruze. then turns off like 2 days later.

o yeah i have the intense stage 3 and a cai. didnt do it till i put the pulley on. doesnt realy bug me, but i do seem to get a power loss when it comes on. intense told me to put my factory intake back on. i was just like thats too much work for my fat ass.

hope this helps some
