Stage Ii

So My Question Is This, Can I Install The Gm Stage Ii Myself Then Take It To The Dealer To Do The Reporgraming Of The Ecu?

Also If I Were To Install It On A Weekend When The Dealership Is Closed Is It Safe To Drive Without The Reprograming?

Basically What It Boils Down To Is This... If I Were To Install It Myself Can I Drive The Car Till I Take It To The Dealer To Have The Ecu Reprogramed Or No?

Not a good idea at all. You can install it home and take it very easy driving to the dealership but don't install it when they are closed and go drive it around for 2 days. The trip from home to the dealership taking it easy is OK. You will be running very lean before you get reflashed. Lean = Not Good!

I am not doubting you in anyway I am just curious how are some people just slapping 3" or 2.9" pulley with out doing anything? I am taking they do not realize that it making their motor run lean?

Getting the pulley on was the most time consuming part of the install. I put my pulley on and drove the car for a few days. I just stayed out of the extra boost the new pulley gives you. I installed the injectors just prior to taking car in for the reflash.

Thats what I was thinking of possibly doing, I really dont plan on much driving between sunday and tuesday, and i know I would stay out of boost, its just to work around the work schedule. By the way thanks guys for your inputs the answers have been appreciated.

I don't think it will be covered under warranty though unless a dealer installs it, at least thats what I was told by my dealer... but since I threw my warranty out the window basically it doesnt matter anymore.

Yeah i kind of figured I would that was the main purpose at first was to keep the warranty but now I am toying with the idea of water/meth injection which will void the warranty anyways
