Stage II Sold OUT!!!

I went to order my stage 2 kit on friday... the only six in the US are already sold. it could bee weeks or months (according to the rep at the dealer) till more are available. One would think there would be more of the kits out for us to get our mitts on.

Marathon Chevrolet in North Charleston, SC has a Stage 1 kit and Stage 2 kit on the shelf right now as we speek. Their number is 843-553-9000. I paid $ 637 plus tax for my Stage 2 kit there. Good luck.

I posted this yesterday in another spot. Maybe this will work out for you.

tell those bastards in sc to release their kits i just called my dealer of which I am currently on backorder with and they are well aware of other dealer that 'have' the kits but even if gm contacts those dealers to try and get em transfered to other dealers, that one dealer that has the part doesn't need to release it so they can try and make money. so it could very well be true that the 6 that were available are simply being held by money hungry dealers

price is of no issue to me but obviously i dont want to pay that much more than i have to. im just saying even if they give the item to another dealer the dealer has to buy it off em so it's not like they are losing any money ... supply and demand plays off here but being an ass hat and sitting on an item that 'might' not sell (from them) for another few months is stupid. the more units that are actually sold the more gm will put out regardless of whether they thought the kits would popular or not

but i am sure that dealer one that has the kit and sells it for 1000 is not going to sell it to dealer 2 who is going to sell it for 600.

Dealer one isn't willing to lose the 400+ they will make and dealer 2 is not willing to pay the extra cash to make the sale.

they dont buy items at the rate that they will sell it to the customer. it would be as if they item was never bought in the first place to dealer one.

Bingo, dealer 2 would give dealer one what they paid for it and then sell it to you. Therefore dealer one would lose out on the opportunity to make profit, hence why they don't want to release it.

if noone buys it from dealer one within the next month or so what would be the big deal? hell they could have none and say they do anyway then say it's in their warehouse and still make the customer wait until the part comes in

edit: but i hear what you are sayin

I ordered my GM Stage II kit 6 weeks ago from CrateEngine.com and havn't heard a word since. They claim its on backorder and they have no idea when they will get the part in stock. It may be awhile.
