Stage Kit Help

Ok I went to one of the the bigger chevy dealerships to talk to them about the gm stage kids cost and install price. well since money is tight im thinking of going stage 1 and like 2 months later getting stage 1 to 2 upgrade. Ok here is the kicker, the guy that pretty much runs the show in the service area told me he would even install aftermarket stuff for me as long as it fitted without fabrication. so I wanted to know if I get a different brand of 42s(not the ones that come with gm stage 1) will they work with a gm stage 1 tune, and if it does is it possible for me to install the bigger injectors myself then drive to the dealership and have him just flash my car to save money on installing of the injectors?

Get ZZP's stage kits they are a better start than GM's. If you don't have a warranty anymore.

Don't waste your money on a GM stage kit. If they will do aftermarket stuff I would save you're pennies and get a ZZP stage 2 or 3. A GMS1 is lame and you won't be happy with it IMO.

I still dont know if the gm stage tune will run different 42 injectors, I didn't think to ask him if he would install the pcm, if I have to do a case relearn is that very hard?

No they are the same injectors from stage 1 to stage 2. I believe the stage 2 is just a different pulley and shorter belt. It's not hard to do a relearn. They can do that for you.

I know stage 1 and 2 injectors the same I mean if I get a pair of used injectors that aint the gm stage injectors will the gm stage tune run them the same as if they where gm stage injectors I think it would but im not sure my idea is to buy some used 42s, then get the 1 to 2 stage upgrade from ced and that should save me 150+ bucks

No it doesn't matter. If you are going to go that route buy 60's so you can pulley down later. Trust me you will want to lol.

I wanna do that and I can afford the parts but the cost of install and a custome tune I cant afford and Iv heard canned tunes on 60s idle bad. Also id have to add in the cost of a dual pass and possible extra heat exchanger, im kinda working on a budget doing lil bit at a time.
