Stage kit or no stage kit

Just wondering if there is a way to check if i have a stock ss/sc or a stage kit has been installed? i bought it used so i don't know what the guy before me did to it...
any help is welcomed and one more thing, how much psi/kpa would a non-modded sc make vs a modded one?

look at the pulley itself on the supercharger for numbers like 77.9mm or 2.9. How much you boosting as well might be a indicator a pulley been changed. Stage two is usually around 15psi while stock i believe is around 12.

I bought my car and was about to buy a gm stage kit until i found out it was already stage 2.

Look underneath the fuel rail, if the injectors are GREEN you are stock, if they are black you are stage 1.

Yes you can just go to a stage 2. If you have any warranty and want to keep it go with crateenginedepot. If not i suggest ZZP or OTTP. DON'T go to a dealer.

no you don't need to, but depending on which stage kit you wanna go with and depending on your power goals an exhaust system upgrade might be neccessary or is recommended

assuming your getting GM stage 2 I'd pick the dealer over crate, crate is cheaper, but I just prefer knowing that if something ***** up its all on the dealer no "Oh well you bought it from blah blah" and so on

But if you have a good mechanic/performance guy you go to I would get the ZZP or OTTP one, cheaper and faster

But...

GM stage 2 is the slowest stage kit upgrade, but you'll still be grinning like a ************ when you first floor it

I did not find it slow at all since i was able to run better times than people with more mods and some with slicks even. With just a GM2 and CAI i was able to pull 13.6 runs at the track. Dont consider it super fast but definately not slow. Also put down 244/225 with GM2,CAI, 2.9 pulley.
