Static in speakers after mods!!??

I got an 06 with 16,000 miles and i just put in a 2.8, 60lbs, 1 step colder plugs. Now when ever I crank the radio up loud its really static and crackling and the rear speakers like pop. if I have it at a normal volume and give it gas the speakers get static again and then when I let off they get clear again. Its really weird. Is it something with the plugs maybe? Anyone seen this before? Thanks.

did you get the coil packs put back tightly on the plugs? .. you could have some voltage shorting to ground and that WILL run back through your headunit and speakers .. check all your connections for everything you changed and make sure they are snug and you didnt break any of the insulation on any of the wires

Did you get a Tag kit? I forget which company did this, but someone told me of a part number (Spark plugs) they got with their kit and I found the plugs on NGKs website. They turned out to be resistorless race plugs which can cause alot of RFI. What part number do you have?

I had static in the speakers with the plug that TAG uses. The NGK non-resistor ones.

Yep, change to the brk7e's and you should be good. It's extremely dumb that Tag puts resistorless plugs in a street kit.
