Question do you think it is possible swap steering wheels to the 08-10 steering wheel with that air bag to (is it plug and play), beacuse i can get my hands on the z06 carbon wheel which is the same size

should be easy, even if the wiring is different may just take a repin
just be damn careful when taking the steering wheel off the clock spring is fragile.
I have taken wheels off many times, but when swapping to a leather wheel the harness snagged and I ripped apart the clock spring, cost me 75bucks!

07' SS/SC's have the same steering wheel as the corvettes along with the 08-10' SS/TC.

So yes it should work. As long as the air bag hook up is the same.

I gave him the info, because 07' SS/SC's came with the corvette steering wheel (not just 08'-10' SS/TC's). So yes it should work on his 05'. That's what I was getting at.

See what i was i told by friend that is a sales manger for chevy that drives z06 is every car that has 3 point steering wheel well fit any of ther cars, beacuse this **** off vettes guys driving around with cobalt steering wheels. With the new Corvette Z06 Carbon the steering wheel has sway material around the outside which is really nice which is what i want, which also is becoming an accersory item for the normal corvette to swap out. So in "theory" if the corvette has same steering wheel as the cobalt it should work i just place the cobalt air bag inplace of the corvette airbag, which just brings to my next question is the plugs off the 05 airbag the same off the later models airbag for the cobalt. I work for chevy now too i am going some digging and found out let you guys know

06' cars do not have the 3 point steering wheel. They came in 07's and up.

Although, it should work on all model year Cobalts....

Oh you are def right about the wiring.....

What I mean by fit is they will physically fit the car.

As for the wiring, that you may need to alter.

I get so aggravated when it's real hot out. The hotest day in PA still wont match the heat you deal with everyday. I feel for ya man, haha.

Yes it will work u only swap outside wheel. Use your orig airbag even with the 2012 wheel it's probably around an hour job. If u really want to go crazy check out apsis usanor dsvettes and check their wheels u can also search corvette forum for install directions and styles.
