Still having issues with the Balt. Help is needed.
to those who may not know the story, ill start it from the top. back in march i bought a dual pass endplate and a stage 3 h/e from zzp. i went ahead and attempted to install both parts on my car seeing as how i had read up on so many write ups and figured i could do it myself. i was right to a certain extent. i got the installation done only to find out that coolant was making its way into the cylinders. after finding this out, i went onto css.net(another forum which im sure we all here are familiar with) and was told by a few members that it was more then likely the o-rings that go in the endplate that may have gone in wrong. now fast forward to july when i finally got a chance to actually tear the stuff back apart to fix the issue and i discovered a what seemed to be "lake" forming in my intake. so i took the endplate off and fix the problem and now the car is all put back together and runs fine like before except now, it blows slight white smoke. nothing outrageous. im just curious as to what you guys may think the issue could be. ive already taken the supercharger off to check if any coolant is leaking back into the intake and everything is fine. im thinking it might just be coolant that may have already been in the exhaust from the coolant issue.
If it's blowing white smoke you are still burning coolant from somewhere. How long after you "fixed it" has it been blowing white smoke? I'm thinking there's some still in the exhaust. I'd change your plugs and your oil ASAP but that's just me.
thats what im thinking the problem is. i just fixed the leaking coolant problem this past weekend. when i first started the car it blew a good amount of white smoke. after turning it off and letting it sit for a day, i started it up again and it blew white smoke but no where near as much as it did the first time. i guess ill just have to take it for a drive and see if it clears up the issue.
I wouldn't even drive it without changin ur oil if I were you. Coolant can mess your **** up when it gets in the oil and I guarantee its coolant in your oil slipping past the valve seals every time you start it up if you got the h/e o-ring prob fixed for sure.
well i know i fixed the dual pass o-ring issue for sure cuz i let it sit for a few days and checked the intake again and it was clean. no coolant at all. ill do the oil change and swap the spark plugs and see if that fixes the problem.
Your changing the oil because it's probably contaminated and your changing the spark plugs because they could be fouled. Just change them for the sake of your motor. You'll probably still smoke for a little bit if there's still coolant in the exhaust but at least that won't harm the motor.
