Stock Boost? why is my gauge off?

ok, i have had my 06 cobalt ss/sc for about a month now. i have been on this board for about 2 weeks now. i am thinking about many upgrades. i have seen that the CA stage 3 gives you 17-18 psi. i was pumped when i saw that because my gauge says i am getting 2.5-3 psi. i saw on this board that 12.5 is stock. why am i only seeing 2.5-3? is it the gauge or is the car only getting that much boost.

your gauge must be off... unless you never stomp it. You won't be at 12 psi always, thats max (depending on elevation)

by the way... you have a 2.0 LSJ supercharged, not the 2.0 LNF turbo lol wrong section

also I would suggest a lot of research on different things before just jumping in and buying an aftermarket staged kit.

well normally no matter the elevation you wont be that much off of the stock readings. Your gauge is probably off unless you feel like your car is pretty sluggish. Bring it into the dealer and have them check it out. The gauge is probably just being stupid like mine was (stopped reading all together lol)

well nvm if you only had the car a month you wouldn't know if it was sluggish or not lol....

bring it to the dealer anyway.

Also... does it slowly climb to 3psi... or does it shoot up to it then kind of freeze?
