Is it true that the stock exhaust pipe on the ss/sc is 2.5", if so, then why do ppl change the whole exhaust from cat back if they are not going to make it bigger, why no slap on an exhaust only ? make sense !!

 

the stock piping is 2 1/2 alothough there is a small section maybe like 1-2 ft thats 2 1/4.. i dont kno why!!

 

becasue just before the exhaust goes over the rear end plate thing (i don't know what its called) it goes down to 2.25 in. It goes into the muffler at 2.25 and exits at 2.5. The stock piping is good, but most people don't like mis matched pipes welded together. Thats how mine is, I didn't care how it looked, but I'm not like most people
