Hey i was wondering what kind of gains would i get if i ported my stock SC? The car is completely stock except for an SLP catback. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

you would get hp gains, torque gains, iat gains (iat loss if you wanna be technical), noise gain (for the ricers), etc etc etc etc

Pulleying down just creates heat and with no cooling mods(OPs car is stock) wouldnt be a good idea..Pulleying down requires supporting mods especially injectors..porting the blower is good but I would think u would need a ported head too to get all the benefits..just my opinion

we have not seen gains from porting the stock blower. Only losses.

Dual pass was intended as part of the "stage2 package" iirc.

You cant pulley down much on a stock car due to the injectors alone which are damn near maxed..but no stage 2 doesn't include cooling mods but does include 42# injectors..can't hurt having cooling mods as increased iats and heat soak lead to pulled timing leading to power loss

Well ZZP probably started outsourcing their porting to China. That's probably why they saw no gains.

Nah, it was always intended for the s3 package, but could def be used to maximize cooling for s2 cars.

Just ironic that you would call out the company that pioneered the very mods that made these car's capable of such high hp, of being unable to do something right.

zzp has pioneered the closed deck ecotec block that is their greatest contribution the turbo kit is nice but otheres done that before zzp did and they gave up on any development on the lsj when the tc came out is it possable zzp has gotten some stuff wrong yes it is im not saying they are a screw up company ive got a couple things on my engine from them they do have nice stuff

aanyway you can gain what, a good 5-10 hp if ported by almclure haha. worth it for all the reasons above, mine is ported and definately picked up some noise, but that was also from plugging the silencer holes... which are holding up great
