This was before PRP went NHRA and prep was even worse. Let's compare the amount of work, modifications, and money into your LSJ compared to my old car.

I've also personally seen a TVS car with your same pulley, trap 113 with a bad set of coilpacks and letting off half way in third because of the misfires. Let alone what it trapped with good spark.

I've also done 109 making 80 less whp than I am now. What's your point? It's all about wheel spin. Hell I've ran a 14.2 at 109.

Something is going on with my car as far as the igntion. I am getting some serious break up on the top end. I'm sure someone heard it at the track as loud as my car was. It sounded like I was laid up on a 2-setp halfway through each gear. I'm not making excuses for myself, I'm just trying to get things dialed in.

I think with the amount of nitrous I run, mixed with an 80% methanol mixture, and ~140 degree intake manifold temps, something worse would have happened than this lol. The walls of that manifold aren't very thick and there is a pressure plug pressed into the bottom. The bottle wasn't even on during the run. I wire cars for a living, so I know it's not an electrical issue. Faulty solenoid with some nitrous still in the line? It's possible I guess, and to be honest that kind of makes sense because I'm still having a hard time believing methanol would have done this. I thought maybe too much boost, but I think someone else with a Harrop would have seen this before me.

I have had a nitrous back fire before, blew a golf ball size hole in my plastic intake piping and this it what it seems like to me. from what i remember it was from leaving the solenoid on by accident and turning off the car and then starting it back up next day.

How the hell did you leave the solenoid on with the car off?

I left the switch active when I turned the car off and the bottle was left open if i remember correctly. When i let the car sit overnight the nitrous accumalated in the intake pipe. I floored it leaving sonic the next morning and when the intake temps got high enough, boom big explosion.

Ummm...nitrous can't explode unless it's mixed with fuel. Also, nitrous turns to gas when exposed to the atmosphere .

And just an update I have Wilson Works here in Morgantown cutting me a new brass flap valve for the bypass and an aluminum ring to weld on where the cracked flange is on the bypass valve seal. Also the intercooler endplate, the piece with the cracked flange, was slightly bent when this happened at the place where it seals to the manifold. So they are going to shave a few thousandths off to flatten it out again lol. On Monday I am going to order some new spark plugs since these non resistor ones are starting to give me fits, a new nitrous nozzle, line, and .032 pill, and some smaller "60lb" injectors as I can now get away with them running the 7GPH meth nozzle with the progressive controller.

it was a wet system so the fuel was there with the nitrous to cause the reaction. also when you done spraying you're supposed to close the bottle and activate and floor it until the lines are clear. But hey if you hadn't sprayed any at all and you're lines were clear then wouldn't been the nitrous just throwing my experience out there. also how long have you had the pacesetter? I just got one and Im debating if I should get it coated.

So you left BOTH solenoids on? Your intake would have been flooded with fuel!

The pacesetter is fine. It's been on there for over a year now. I modified it though to flow better. If you don't change the collector like I did, I would go with a different one.
