a stupid idea?

well i was looking at the new hci today and noticed something in the jason whitefeilds cobalt. he had a small scoop in the hood where he had his intake lined up right with. well i have a similar idea but since i drive mine in all weather i thought i would make a plug for the hole but since the plug would stop air flow i would have an extension after that opening that would go down to the stock spot. kinda have it Y off after the "ram air" portion of it. i know it seems half assed and that because the idea was thought up in a matter of 23 seconds. and thing people would like to say about the idea let me know. i will not take offense to people calling me a ******* idiot either.

I can see a problem arising from the MAF and the engine either going "what the hell is going on" or getting more air than it thought and screwing with the A/F
Just an initial thought though, I could be wrong as well

good idea though

Yeah, but with how bitchy the MAF's are on this car, I wonder if that change would screw with it.... Just a thought is all really.

Theres only one way to find out...
