Question Summer Tune Up Question

Over the next day or two i am going to be giving my car a little tune up. I plan on replacing my plugs, air filter , Oil & filter as well as my gas filter. My question is about which plugs to use. Should I use just the GM stock replacement spark plugs ? Or should I use the NGK BKR7E 's ?? I can't decide which one to run. Hence the post. Does one plug offer better performance over the other plug in our cars ? My current mods are GM stage 2 with the air box mod. I also have a cobalt addiction heat exchanger. Thats it really..... Any thoughts ?

Thanks

Use the ngk. They are rated by heat..... You will get spark bblowout and you will get kraft. If u use the stock plugs since Ure on the 2.9 get one step colder.

What is kraft ?? Also... I am currently on the gm stage 2 pulley. I removed the 2.9" for the time being. Which plug is best to run on just the gm stage 2 ?

This needs to be clarified.

OP, you will not get spark blowout from use of the stock plugs.... Spark blowout happens when the gap of the plugs is large enough for the incoming air to "blow out" the spark. To fix this, you simply close up the gap (if you are even experiencing this issue).

1-step colder is the heat range, and for your particular setup 1-step colder or even the stock plugs will be fine.

Lol.... I was wondering what kraft meant. Knock retard makes more sense....

Thanks for the feedback staged07.... I already have a set of the NGK bkr7e's. They are not installesd. I was just curious if I was better of to install them or a NEW set of stockers. And which offers better performance...... Also, where the ngk's are copper. How long will they last ?

Most change the coppers out every other oil change.

My android does the same bloody thing. It spell checks every word even when there the correct spelling hlaf the time I find it changes it to another word. All krafty and sneaky like. Without me realizing it. Then I end up texting pure nonsense to my wife or friends.

Anyhow... Every other oil change the coppers should be changed. I was hoping to put something in that lasted a bit more then every other oil change. Great... Now the debate gets even harder....

I was just stating what I've heard from members using coppers & their change intervals. That's the only downfall of copper plugs. Changing plugs on our cars is easy. I wouldnt disregard them, because you have to change them more often man.

I use iridiums.
