Exclamation Supercharger Coolant over 200+ degrees

As one problem is fixed, another is awaken.

So I'm trying to get my car tuned...but in order to do that, the car has to be running right...who would have figured lol

But we had the car DataLogged...and from that it told us the Supercharger is getting as hot as 230 degrees....which isnt healthy and is robbing power from me!

I have the Dual Pass for my intake manifold...which I just seen a picture...

Which I didnt move around the ins and outs...could that be any problem for it?
Or could something else be the problem....

Any input would be great, I need to get this car tuned asap :p

Your coolant pump is probably dead, I just replaced mine two weeks ag. I put in a zzp stage 3 heat exchanger and my ia2t's were over 200 so I checked the pump and it was dead. Replaced it and now while cruising my iat2's are under 100 and after a couple wot pulls it hits about 135

hey its not hard to replace at all. im not very mechanically inclined an i had it done in under an hour. the hardest part is getting the old coolant lines disconnected. for some reason chevy though it would be a good idea to make the "clamps" that come on the coolant lines un-moveable. so i ended up just cutting the old coolant lines off and replacing them with new coolant lines and better clamps.

the pump is about 100 bucks. i got it from OTT performance because ford racing was out of stock. there is a write up i believe somewhere on here that shows you how to replace it. the pump is right underneath the engine and it only takes 2 bolts that are easy to get to, to replace it.

again, the hardest part for me were the damn clamps that come on the coolant lines from the factory. if ya need any more info you can pm me.

^-- agreed.. stupid clamps come glued on -.-.. really is easy, remove like 2 bolts, remove lines, remove tyhe little power harness thing, and put in the new pump, power, bolts, lines done.

Thats great news to hear...thanks alot!

Now I think I found it, but as I was looking, there seems to be some coolant leaking now from right above the pump...does anyone know what this is? Looks like its leaking quite a bit now...I cant quite get up in there to make sure its leaking from there, but it doesnt look like its leaking anywhere above it in the engine bay

You can see the coolant a little to the right of the pump but above it, its about to drip

sorry to double post.. but are u sure u tightned everything down when you did the dual pass.. might be pooling in the intake manifold or leaking from the t fitting ... has the car been driving any different since you did the dual pass?

okay ya scratch that. After examining a little closer, it looks like its coming out of the bottom of the dual pass...none of the coolant line to it are leaking...but it looks like its coming from where the dual pass and IM connect....I'm pretty sure I torqued them bolts to 25N*m...

make sure the rubber seal didnt move when you torqued it down, you kinda gotta torque all the bolt little by little to keep even preassure so it seals good. i know it sucks you gotta go through all the **** again.. the wonderful headaches we find on the road to power huh. lol

Hey Guys, whats the pump called, and is it a dealer only part? I went to Oriellys and they tried telling me it was an aftermarket pump.

Yes, its the same pump on the ford lightning, termi cobra, some Mercedes, and other stuff. Buy it from ebay or ford racing, easiest to find searching for bosch ford lightning, or bosch supercharger pump.
