ok so my coupler in my supercharger has been making that rattling humming sound for awhile now... so I'm going to buy a new coupler and oil...my question is should I do the snout bearings and oil seal to or do I need to do just the coupler????????

 

if you can afford all of it do it. since ur asking i assum your thinking about doing it in the future why not now if your already in there with everything torn apart?

oh lol...mine has a grinding sound all the time...recently started whistling when i first start it up goes away after it's warmed up haha..

 

no mine hums loud and has that grinding sound and the marble sound.....60,000 miles the rotors look good in it I'm guessing one of the bearings is going bad in the snout so I guess I will do all the bearings and coupler in the snout than...

anyone ever do bearings in theres?????

bet the 2.8 inch pulley and the pulls over 6,000 rpms all the time don't help the fact either

 

Would the whistle only happen under boost? I'm getting a strange whistle under boost. And a pulsing sound from the charger under heavy load... I too have a 2.8" and often pull till over 6000.
