no one has an answer to your question as far as I have seen. I am sure it is just a rebranded oil for GM to make money off of.

Technically youre not even supposed to change the oil. There technically is not an oil for the supercharger available from GM, according to the service manual the oil isnt serviced. Therefore youre gonna need to talk to an Eaton engineer to find out what oil they actually recommend if you dont like the answer of GM Supercharger oil

there is oil from GM for the s/c. The same stuff as linked above under a different name, same stuff. But you should change it if you dropped pulley sizes, as your creating more heat, and spinning it faster then what their service intervals s are set for.

Like SSchargedSS said, there is S/C oil. Changed mine about 2500 miles ago. The tech who worked on it said was a good thing I did cause the oil was jet black and not much drained out. (he took the S/C completely off and drained it that way).

Nope, There is no service interval for LSJ superchargers, there is "supercharger oil" its specifically listed for the M90 on the 3.8L V6 supercharged engines, there is no specification from GM for LSJ supercharger oil, as Ive said already its not supposed to be opened.

Again: Id talk to Eaton and see what they want put in it, they may suggest the same stuff as the M90, they may not.

Then what is this and why is it recommended for all 1999+ GM vehicles having the m62? Thats the same stuff ZZP sales, same part #

not trying to be rude, but this seems like a never ending debate, ... seems the only one saying dont change it is GM. Even Eaton has recommended service interval before 100k

on your s/c next to the snout there is a allan screw, remove with allan wrench and suck out old s/c oil, add the new the same place. Only put in what u take out, or remove the s/c and poor it out... there is a how to on it

I have spoken to Eaton as well, and GM when I had my LSJ, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CHANGE THE OIL IN THE HEATON. THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON EITHER.

Don't believe me? give your dealer your vin and have him print you out a list of ALL fluids and oils and crap that needs replacing on this car, you will not see the SC oil there. Why? Cause you dont have to change it. This has to become a sticky or something. Your just going to fk something up by putting the wrong oil in or not filling it properly.

It aint broke, don't fix it.

Thats supercharger oil, and WBP recommends it for GM vehicles with the M62...NOT GM.

I thought that was pretty clear. guess not.

Theres no debate........GM doesnt offer a fluid specifically for the M62, they dont have a service interval, they dont want you touching it, and yet again Ill repeat my recommendation: CALL EATON for service recommendations.
