supercharger oil
supercharger oil
I was wondering if you had to check the supercharger oil or have to replace it at all. The chevy dealership by me said you never had too but i just wanted to check and make sure they were right haha
you don't need to change it every 50k....you can change it whenever you want to it's not necessary per say. smaller pulleys becomes more wise to change it more often etc. it is a "sealed unit" but not hard to change.
They are a sealed unit, but the oil will NOT last forever. Magnuson who remanufactures eaton SC's and works with them says this:
Manufacturer of Supercharger kits, remanufactured superchargers and supplier of supercharger oil.
The oil and couple can be bought from CED and ZZP. Its cheap maintenance...no reason not to do it.
Is there any maintenance required with my kit? Do I need to change the oil in it? A big advantage of our kits is the lack of any scheduled maintenance. The only item to keep an eye on is the drive belt. Just as any drive belt, if it shows any signs of wear, immediately replace it. The nose oil, however, has a service life of 80,000 miles.
