Hell, you guys are all lucky. When I was 17, I was driving a 90 Ford Ranger (this was in 2001) that I paid $3500 for. My dad only loaned me $500 towards the down payment (and got the loan in his name of course) but I had to do the other $500 down and then make the monthly payments. I wouldn't have DREAMED of having a $20k+ car like a SS/SC. So regardless of whether or not your dads let you do stuff to your cars, you're all pretty lucky in my book.
