I'm at about 55k in my 06 ss/sc and for the last week when i go to crank the engine it takes it about 13 tries b4 it cranks up.. all in the same attempt though. Now could this be due to the battery or starter...just wonderin if its hapened to anyone else yet

 

Try checking you're spark plugs.

well, 13 tries of cranking before it fires up or 13 tries before it cranks, not cranking is usually signs of starter or bad battery connection. If you had a bad battery it would have probably drained to nothing and gotten worse with every try, spark plugs could definitely be a problem if it takes a while for the engine to actually start while its cranking.

If it just recently started, than It might be bad gas to.

 

have you ever changed your plugs from stock, cause it sounds like spark problems, bad gas is pretty rare, i've never had a batch of bad gas that didn't allow my car to start.
