Tbandit's Build Thread!!!!!!

So finally i get to make one of these :-). so i finally picked up the crate engine from the guy off of css.net. Its the jbp mild crate motor its in perfect condition includes diamond pistons 9.5:1 compression, total seal gapless piston ring kit, diamond thick walled piston pins, diamond spirolox, jbp sportsman connecting rods with arp bolts, gm main bearing, gm connecting rod bearings, gmpp neutral balance shafts, and jbp strengthened crankshaft. for all the people thinking why would u buy a jbp engine? well i only paid 250 bucks for it so **** it lol. Heres a list of what else im picking up over the next few months.

zzp valve springs
zzp s2 cams
P&P head
zzp dual pass endplate
gmpp clutch
zzp stage 1 axles
zzp rotated front and rear tranny mounts
ssc springs
kyb shocks and struts
either 2 16 rims with slicks or 2 17's with drag radials
zzp phenolic spacer
zzp brfp system
zzp fuel pump rewire kit

I plan on re dynoing my current setup then once the motor is broken in dyno again with the m62 still and from that point either go with a 75-150 shot or slap a tvs on it. now on to current pics.

my goal is to hit over 400whp but we will see what happens. i will update the list with pics as i get more parts. and im open to any and all opinions on the build. thanks for reading.

So any opinions or suggestions. Anyone think my goals are realistic or have a guess of there own on what my number would look like with this build, current mods on the m62 and then on the tvs?

Dunno, my sleeve is what went on my motor so I always cringe a little when people build a motor and don't replace the next weakess link that just got knocked down a few more pegs lol. For such a low price tho I would have paid 5 times that a month ago when my motor blew.

so i updated the first pots with some more parts i realized i should get. any opinions on the zzp brfp system. you guys think a fuel pump rewire kit and the zzp system with stock fuel pump and 80's will be enough for e on should i get a walbro 255 also. also any opinions on if i should get 16's and slicks or 17's and drag radials? what do you guys think will work best for the power im looking for and with the ssc springs. also any opinions on the kyb springs. as always any and all info and opinions given is appreciated.

Damn nice deal on the motor. Nice build plans, how far do you plan on revving? Stock rev, probably only get to 350-370 on the TVS. I think only one or 2 people have broken into the the 400s with a TVS and they were revving out into the 8k region.

Turbo will get you more HP in the end, just more expensive to set up.

The ZZP BRFPS is an ok system but Return Style really is the way to go, and not too bad to set up.

Good luck with the build and congrats.

im looking to rev it to 8k, hell with the zzp stg 2 cams will take my power band to right before or right at 8k with my gmpp neutral balance shafts and p&p head. on a tvs my power band will prolly peak around 8200rpm or so im told.
